Docking Station

Satellite phones and mobile, vehicle-mounted dish systems allow users to connect with the outside world no matter how remote they are, but they may require the use of docking stations. Satellite phones need to be outdoors and pointing at satellites to gain reception. If you want to use these global phones indoors, you’ll need a docking station.

Use a Satellite Phone Indoors with a Docking Station

This guide can help you with handset configurations, including SIM card and antenna instructions, instructions for docking the handset, plugging in the docking station and undocking the handset. Of course, if you still have questions and aren’t finding the answers you need, we have an around-the-clock Iridium customer care center that is accessible via a toll-free number.

The specifications for one of our Iridium docking station models are as follows: a weight of about 13 ounces, 30 hours of standby time and 3.6 hours of talk time, call forwarding, an illuminated display, 100-number storage and other features.
