The Sailor 33 Fleet by Thrane and Thrane is an easy-to-install mobile modem that allows for speedy data transmissions on smaller seagoing vessels and yachts. This unit is for users who won’t be sending and receiving tremendous amounts of data. The Sailor 33 actually only charges you for data sent and received, making it ideal for sailors who need to stay connected, but who don’t rely heavily on their wireless transceivers.

Fleet Fits Every Ship

The Sailor 55 Fleet is for mid-sized vessels, and it allows for high-quality voice transmissions, supporting up to seven handsets. It’s also configured for email and internet access in waters between 78 degrees north latitude and 78 degrees south latitude. The system can be quickly configured to a standard PC with accompanying software.

For a large ship with a frequent need for ship-to-shore communications and broadband access, the Sailor 77 Fleet is ideal. This model is the most powerful transceiver for maritime use, allowing for voice, fax and email transmissions, and it has the ability to link to cargo monitoring systems. The Sailor 77 Fleet allows you to choose how you want to pay for data exchanged, with per-minute and per-data-packet choices. Data transfer speeds can be up to 128 kbps (kilobytes per second).
