Users with an Iridium 9555 can now update their phone to firmware version HT10001. This version resolves the issue with voice rerouting on the Iridium 9555 caused by HT09014 when using in a ASE 9555 Docking Station along with other minor fixes. If you have a 9555 and an ASE 9555 Docking station please upgrade your phone to HT10001. You can download the new firmware from this site, see below Iridium Software section. 6/18/2009 *** Important announcement regarding Iridium 9555 firmware upgrade version HT09014 ***
Users upgrading their handsets to firmware version HT09014 will be unable to use the ASE 9555 docking stations. This may be true for other manufacturers of 9555 Docking Stations as well. This firmware release erroneously routes the voice audio to the handset instead of through the interface ‘heel’ connector. Since Docking Stations interface to the handset through this connector, audio is dropped for all outgoing voice calls initiated by the Dock. This includes RJ-11 and Privacy Handset interfaces. Data calls are not affected
